THE BUYING AND SELLING OF MEMORIES
The Buying and Selling of Memories is an exhibition opening December 11, 2010, 7-11pm, at Alt|Space at Top Tomato that focuses on a documented two month journey taken by Delia Cabral and Mark Blatchford through Morocco, Egypt, Jordan and Syria, featuring photography, journal entries, sketches, jewelry, spices, and items collected along the road. Documenting a personal journey for two people into the land of the Bedouins of Petra and Palmyra, the Berbers of the Atlas Mountains and the Nubians of Aswan on the river Nile, this exhibition is a sensory travel log and memory bazaar that engages the visual, tactile, aural and olfactory senses
